StandBy is a national support organisation for people who have been impacted by suicide – family, friends, colleagues, witnesses and others in the community. It recognises that suicide often creates complex feelings for those left behind, and its impact can linger for a long time.
StandBy services include:
- Extensive resources for people bereaved by suicide, including fact sheets and e-books for children, adolescents and workplaces.
- Telephone counselling (and face-to-face counselling in selected locations).
- Help connecting with appropriate local support services.
- Follow-up support for up to two years after a bereavement.
