CBWN founder wins Australia Day honour

February 5, 2020
Community and Business Women’s Network founder Sharyn Burgess has been honoured with a Australia Day award for her efforts to connect women across the Central Coast.
Sharyn won the category of Business Connecting Communities. The awards are run by Wyong Chamber of Commerce to acknowledge the contribution of local people to their community.
A project of Iris Foundation, CBWN creates opportunities for local women to share ideas, support and inspiration and to connect at regular networking events and online. Initially focused on the northern end of the Coast, CBWN has recently hosted two sold-out events at The Entertainment Grounds, Gosford, with other events further afield on the horizon.
Since opening up to membership in December 2018, CBWN has grown to more than 230 highly engaged members.
CBWN also recognises local women who have displayed courage in the face of adversity. Nominations are now open for the second annual Women’s Resilience Awards. Click here for more information.
Iris Foundation would like to congratulate Sharyn for her tireless commitment to the Central Coast community.
