Iris Foundation is very grateful to receive grant funding this month of $62,460 from Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation to continue our delivery of Cool Connections in School programs in 2020.
Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation set a milestone of officially delivering $20M worth of funding to community projects following this latest round of grants.
Foundation Chair, Phil Neat, said “This round recognised charitable partners making a meaningful difference to people in need and the social well being of regional communities. Each of these grants represents a valuable community partnership, built on our shared mission to address important social issues by supporting innovative and resourceful initiatives from non-profit organisations operating in regional NSW.”
Cool Connections in School program objective is to deliver support to local students in Years 5 & 6 to increase each students resilience, working with them to build their confidence, develop their social skills and to create a sense of connectedness with others at the School and in their Community.
